The developers of the free, open-source and cross-platform qBittorrent P2P BitTorrent client announced on October 10 the immediate availability for download of what appears to be the last maintenance release in the qBittorrent 3.2 series.

According to the release notes attached below, qBittorrent 3.2.4 is mostly a bugfix release that addresses many of those annoying issues reported by users since the previous version of the software, qBittorrent 3.2.3, which was a very small point build compared with other releases.

qBittorrent 3.2.4 now lets users select the file of single torrents during the opening of the destination folder, but there are also various cosmetic changes, improvements to the web-based interface, lots of enhancements to the RSS feature, and many other under-the-hood improvements.

"This release finally fixes an obscure "hit-and-run" bug with trackers. It is actually a libtorrent bug which is fixed in their source. But for fixing builds that will use older versions of libtorrent (eg on Linux) I made a change in the v3.2.4 code that will circumvent the bug anyway. This version should be the last in the v3.2.x series," reads the announcement.

qBittorrent 3.3 to be released soon

Among other interesting changes implemented in the qBittorrent 3.2.4 release, we can mention a fix for the weird "hit-and-run" but with BitTorrent trackers, a fix for the broken .desktop file icon on some GNU/Linux systems, as well as various fixes for Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Last but not least, the developers mentioned that fact that the next major release of software, qBittorrent 3.3 is coming along nicely and it will see the light of day in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can download qBittorrent 3.2.4 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia, where you can find binaries for 32-bit and 64-bit systems.
