qBittorrent, a multi-platform BitTorrent client, designed to run on all major platforms that has pretty much all of the features you would need, is now at version 3.2.0 and is ready for download.

There is no shortage of P2P sharing apps on the Linux platform, but qBittorrent is one of the most famous and most used clients. It's not updated all that often, but then again it doesn't really need to because it's pretty stable. It's also the one torrent application on Linux that resembles µtorrent from the Windows platform. Surprisingly, many users want the same µtorrent experience on Linux, and this is as close as you're going to get.

qBittorrent is not included by default in too many Linux distributions, but its makers don't really have this goal in mind. They don't want to have a light app; they want to have a complete P2P client.

What's new in the latest version

According to the changelog, the WEBUI code has been rewritten, an option to hibernate the computer has been added in Auto-Shutdown menu, an option to disable connections not supported by proxies has been implemented, current speed limits are now displayed in the status bar, hotkeys and buttons for Top and Bottom priorities have been added, and the Scan Folder dialog now remembers its last location.

Also, it's not possible to remove empty labels, the info hash is now shown in the torrent details, the qBittorrent.appdata.xml file is now created on Linux systems, remote images are now displayed in the preview windows for RSS, and numerous other fixes have been implemented. These are just a few changes from the latest update, which is actually massive.

A complete backlog of changes and updates is available in the official announcement. You can also check our review of the application. You can download qBittorrent 3.2.0 right now from Softpedia.
