HTC is expected to unveil two Nexus smartphones in the following weeks, and their specs are already discussed online. Nexus Marlin is supposed to come with a bigger screen compared to Nexus Sailfish, which was just recently benchmarked.

A purported benchmark from GFXBench for Nexus Sailfish confirms some previously rumored specs and reveals that the upcoming smartphone will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 chip clocked at 2.1GHz, according to 9to5Google.

Although that was to be expected, considering that Nexus devices are high end and they usually come with the latest specs. However, SD 820 isn't the latest processor model from Qualcomm, as the company released SD 821 just recently.

The benchmark test confirms the phone's 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display and 4GB of RAM, as well as 32GB of internal storage. Rear camera capacity on the upcoming smartphone seems to be 12MP, and the front camera will have a capacity of 8MP.

In addition, the phone will obviously be released with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, but the benchmark test shows that it's running the Nougat Manufacturer Release 1.

Nexus Sailfish and Marlin are expected to arrive this fall

A fingerprint sensor is said to be placed on the back of the phone, and it will support gestures for pulling down the notification shade. The smartphone will also come with USB Type-C port and bottom speakers.

Nexus Sailfish will be released together with Nexus Marlin, which will have a larger display of 5.5 inches and 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. Battery capacity is said to reach 3,450mAh, but the phone will have the same processor, RAM, and camera as the Nexus Sailfish.

The two handsets could come with a new Nexus Launcher, which does away with the app drawer icon on the homescreen and has some other changes. Both devices are said to arrive by fall, and more information is bound to surface soon.
