Another interesting new feature of Proxmox VE 4.2 is support for SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificates via the well-known and widely used "Let's Encrypt" project, providing users with free and open certificate authority with automated renewal and short expiry. The integration of Let's Encrypt in Proxmox VE will boost its presence on the Linux server market.
Lastly, users can now select ZFS storage during the installation process of the Proxmox VE 4.2 Linux operating system. When choosing ZFS for the storage drive, the installer will automatically configure the ZFS-Plugin, providing an out-of-the-box ZFS experience.
