Actress Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of the late King of Rock ‘N’ Roll Elvis Presley, is opening the doors of her Beverly Hills home to Hello! Magazine, for an interview explaining why she would never move out of it. The place has too many memories with Elvis and she refuses to leave them behind, she says.

Elvis was “the love of [her] life,” Priscilla adds.

“I have too many memories here”

Having gotten the Elvis Presley Enterprises (EPE) off the ground and turned Graceland into one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, one would assume that Priscilla could move to a mansion on the Moon, if she were so inclined.

Financially, she could probably afford it, but she doesn’t want to, she tells the publication.

The photo attached to this article, included with the Hello! interview, was snapped on the occasion of the visit when the interview was taken. Priscilla’s face is Photoshopped nearly to the point of distraction, but that’s a little beside the point.

“Even after our divorce, we remained very good friends. He would come to this house often,” the actress says of the house she raised her only daughter with the King, Lisa Marie, in. “That's one reason why I can never leave this place - I have too many memories here.”

She says the house is the only place she can think of as “home,” so there is nothing in this world that could tempt her to move out of it.

Elvis was the love of Priscilla’s life

Much has been said, both true and false, about Elvis and Priscilla, starting from their first meeting when she was only 14 to her move to Graceland a couple of years later.

Regardless of all the rumors and speculation on what falling for an underage girl said of the singer, Priscilla says they were united by love from the first day until the day of his death, even though there was a divorce right there in the middle.

That Elvis continued to be on friendly terms with her and even tried to use his connections in Hollywood to help her launch her own business is, again, well documented in the press.

Priscilla says none of that would have been possible without the strong bond of love they shared.

“He was absolutely the love of my life. He was the father of my child and I learned so much from that man,” she explains for the publication. “I'm not saying that everything was wonderful - marriages have problems, and especially in that rock 'n' roll environment... but we had an amazing bond.”
