Considering that Google’s upcoming phones are some of the most anticipated devices in the past few months, rumors surrounding them continue to pour in. The latest shows that pre-orders for the Pixel and Pixel XL could start on October 4.

In the past few weeks, word got out that Google could release its two upcoming handsets on October 4. Ausdroid has just reported that the Mountain View-based giant could very well launch pre-orders for the two smartphones on October 4, on the same day as the unveiling, that is.

The report also mentions that Google could make the two phones available for sale on October 20. It’s unclear at this point if pre-orders will start on October 4 only for the US or for other countries in the world as well.

Google’s Pixel phone could arrive on October 20 in Australia

The report also mentions that the Pixel smartphone will be available in Australia on October 20, most likely at Telstra. The company is the leading provider of mobile phones and broadband Internet in Australia, and apparently, it intends to launch the handset on its $95 per month plan.

Google is said to have ditched the Nexus branding for its upcoming phones and replaced their Nexus Sailfish and Marlin names with Pixel and Pixel XL. Pixel is expected to come with a 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 2,770mAh battery. The device will come with 32GB of storage, a 12MP rear camera, and an 8MP selfie snapper.

The Pixel XL is supposed to have a larger screen compared to Pixel, a 5.5-inch one with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. It will also have a larger battery of 3,450mAh. The two phones could be the first running Android 7.0 Nougat to arrive to customers, provided that the LG V20 doesn’t go on sale before the rumored release date of Google’s devices.
