The team at Sony in charge of the PlayStation 4 announces that it is planning to launch a special Black Friday bundle featuring the home console and the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for the low price of 299 dollars (249 Euro).

The offer will only be available in the United States and Canada, and gamers will be able to take advantage of it starting on Thursday and until Cyber Monday at a number of stores.

It seems that there are no plans to deliver the special Black Friday bundle linked to the PlayStation 4 in Europe at the moment, although something similar might be offered by Sony for the Christmas season.

Gamers who pick up the new package will be able to get a home console with a 500 GB hard drive as well as access to Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Sony states in the official announcement that, "It’s an incredible price for an awesome PS4 bundle. We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends – and be sure to put this on your shopping list during Black Friday weekend because this deal won’t last long!"

The three video games are designed with improved gameplay and graphics to take full advantage of the extra power of the new console and represent some of the best experiences that Naughty Dog created for the Sony consoles.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be launched on March 18 of next year and is designed to deliver the closing chapter in the story of Nathan Drake and his friends.

The PlayStation 4 - Xbox One sales race is heating up

The big price cut that accompanies the PlayStation 4 Black Friday deal is a sign that Sony is interested in generating as many sales as possible to make sure that the Xbox One does not continue to lead regarding sales, as it did for the United States market for the month of October.

It will be interesting to see how many players are interested in playing or replaying the titles that feature Nathan Drake and whether they can draw a bigger audience than Master Chief, who headlines Halo 5: Guardians.

The new platforms from both Sony and Microsoft have been performing better than their older cousins did at the same moment during their lifetime, driving the entire industry forward.

It seems that in the long run the PlayStation 4 will keep its current price and that the marketing process will be centered on major fall titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Star Wars Battlefront, which have been heavily associated with it.

Meanwhile, the Xbox One is focusing on exclusives like Halo 5: Guardians, Forza Motorsport 6 and Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Microsoft has also recently introduced a new user interface, which is designed to integrate the console in the bigger Windows 10 ecosystem while Sony is promising that it will continue to improve the social and the sharing elements of the PlayStation 4.
