PhpMyAdmin 4.2.3, the popular tool written in PHP and intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, has been released and users can now download it.

A new build of phpMyAdmin, 4.2.3, is now out, and, even if it's just a bugfix release, users should really consider upgrading to the new version.

According to the changelog, it is now possible to move the fields, the table indexes no longer disappear after users have altered a field, an error that occurred while displaying the chart at the server level has been fixed, importing open_basedir is now possible, some problems copying constraints have been fixed, and the missing privileges submenu has been fixed.

Also, the db confirmation message is now dropped along with the user, a form numeric field with a function for the drop-down list has been inserted, some problems that happened due to the missing enforcement of the minimum supported MySQL version have been fixed, and the space in the index generated query has been corrected.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. You can download phpMyAdmin 4.2.3 source right now from Softpedia and you will need to compile the package yourself.
