phpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, has just reached version 4.1.4.

The final version of phpMyAdmin 4.1.4 has been launched and is ready for download. This is a maintenance build that comes with a few new features and fixes, just like all the previous releases in the branch so far.

According to the changelog, when exporting to gzip format, the data is no longer compressed 2 times, users can now browse tables after sorting on columns with fieldnames that have a "-", and phpMyAdmin no longer switches to the wrong page after adding an index.

Also, the table "disappears" if it has the same name as its tablegroup, and the current value is now highlighted when browsing foreign values.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. Download phpMyAdmin 4.1.4 right now from Softpedia.
