phpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, has just reached version 4.1.0 Beta 2.

The first Beta of phpMyAdmin 4.1.0 has been launched and is ready for testing. The developers have implemented quite a few changes and improvements.

Highlights of phpMyAdmin 4.1.0 Beta 2:

• Users can now specify a port when connecting to the controlhost; • User interface improvements have been implemented to server privileges, view creation, the Operations tab, Relation View, and when creating new users; • Find and replace by column is now possible; • Configurable menus have been added.
