14 DAY TRIAL // In order to offset the big hole in its revenue left by the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has decided to launch additional colors for its current flagship, the Galaxy S7/S7 edge.
We've already got to know the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge, which is already available for purchase in the United States and some other countries. But that's not the only new version of the phone that will be launched this year.
The South Korean company plans to tackle the insanely popular Jet Black iPhone 7 with a black colored Galaxy S7 edge of its own.
Of course, this is not the first time we hear about the new black Galaxy S7 edge, but it's the first time we get information on the phone's actual release date.
So, a new report claims this special Galaxy S7 edge will be launched in South Korea on December 9. However, the smartphone will be rolled out globally following the release in Samsung's home turf.
Unlike the Onyx Black Galaxy S7 edge, the so-called Pearl Black model features a shiny back cover, which is likely to catch fingerprints very easily. Still, we're not yet sure whether or not you'll be able to tell the difference between the two colors.
128GB model will be launched too
One thing will clearly be different, and that's the fact that the Pearl Black Galaxy S7 edge will include a 128GB option, which the other versions don't.
Samsung has yet to confirm the launch of the Pearl Black Galaxy S7 edge, but everything points to an imminent announcement.
We're expecting the phone to be priced for sale at around the same amount as the other Galaxy S7 edge versions, so those waiting for this particular model shouldn't worry that it will be more expensive.
The only thing that remains to be determined is the phone's availability outside South Korea. Even if Samsung plans to launch it worldwide, the company might not cope with the demand so it will probably be hard to come by.
