On her latest trip to Dubai, Paris Hilton got the scare of a lifetime when an Egyptian TV show host pulled off an elaborate prank that also included a small plane with a crew and stuntmen, and Paris’ own entourage.

Footage of the prank, which consisted of telling her that the plane was crashing, killing off the engines and then plummeting towards water, emerged online late last week. It’s been pulled from YouTube, but you can still see snippets from it in the video below.

Paris wants heads to roll for it.

Paris will sue

The bottom line is that Paris was terrified. In fact, she was so terrified that many took to social media to say that “not even she deserved this” after viewing it. Ramez Galal, the talk show host in question, seemed pleased with the prank he pulled on her at the end, and reports claimed that he could use the footage for his show because she’d signed a waiver before boarding the plane.

That may still be the case, but Paris is out to make him pay, TMZ has learned. She wants to sue for emotional distress because, even though she’s afraid of flying, she does it on a daily basis because she has a business to run.

This prank only made it worse for her, which could result in loss of revenue. The celebrity publication doesn’t offer a figure for the kind of damages Paris might seek, but our guess is she’s not going for pennies.

She appeared scared out of her mind on the video, so she probably has a strong case that this prank only made her fear of flying worse.

It was worse than it appeared on video

“Paris […] had absolutely no clue this was a prank, she wasn't in on it. She also doesn't believe anyone in her camp was involved. And Paris says, it was a lot worse than it looked on video. She says the plane almost hit the water during the dive and then steeply pulled out of the dive, almost doing a loop as it ascended,” the report notes.

Inside the aircraft, what with all the screaming people (who were in on the joke), Paris thought she had only moments to live. No one would explain to her what was happening, and all she could hear was screaming and some staff member yelling that they had to jump before the plane hit the water.

At the end of the original video, Paris was still crying when they eventually landed on the ground. She couldn’t stop crying even when she heard it had been a prank and even told Galal that he almost had her “killed.”
