Then they nickname their future child Gizmo

If we're going to be honest here, we have to admit that, except for doctors and folks with superhuman vision, few people can actually see anything in a baby scan.

A couple in the UK, however, saw a bit more than they were prepared for. Long story short, the expecting parents spotted the silhouette of a gremlin right next to their unborn daughter.

It was the father who noticed the gremlin

31-year-old Jayne Siner took the baby scan supposedly showing a gremlin hanging out with her 20-week-old unborn daughter at the St. Chads Clinic in the town of Kirkby.

The woman admits that, when she was handed the scan, she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. When she got home and showed it to her partner, however, he noticed that a peculiar figure seemed to be lurking in the corner.

In turn, the man showed the baby scan to his colleagues at work. Together, they concluded that the bizarre figure in the corner could only be a pointy-eared gremlin.

If you happen to have some free time on your hands and feel like wasting it straining your eyes to see a gremlin in a 20-week baby scan, just scroll down. Fair warning though: you'll need a vivid imagination to see the figure.

Gremlin or no gremlin, everybody had a good laugh

31-year-old Jayne Siner admits that, because of the strange figure appearing in her 20-week baby scan, she nicknamed her daughter Gizmo. The good news is that she eventually settled on a more suitable moniker: Ivy Belle.

“It was a bit of an ‘oh my God’ moment when it was pointed out to me, and my bump became known as Gizmo. It became a bit of a joke that there was a gremlin in there with my baby,” the woman explained in an interview, as cited by Mirror.

“My mum would message me to make sure I was staying away from water after midnight or it may multiply like in the film,” she went on to say.
