14 DAY TRIAL // Well-known games publisher and developer Bandai Namco has just released yet another mobile game in the Pac-Man series.
Unlike all previous games, the new Pac-Man 256 is an endless runner, which is the first in the popular series. As expected, the game is available for free on both Android and iOS platforms.
According to developers, Pac-Man 256 features new power-up like stealth, tornados and laser beams, on top of the usual Power Pellets.
Players will have to guide Pac-Man through hordes of ghosts, collectible fruit, as well as inescapable glitches. In fact, the super-villain featured in the game is called The Glitch, so players will have to stay ahead if they want to survive.
A new gang of revived retro-ghosts are included in the game as well: Sue, Funky and Spunky. It is also worth mentioning that players will be able to string a 256 combo for a super special surprise.
Players can purchase it to remove all free-to-play elements
Bandai Namco confirmed that Pac-Man 256 fully supports controller and NVIDIA SHIELD, so expect the game to be available through NVIDIA SHIELD Hub.
“After months of hard work, our fruitful 3-way cooperation finally sees the light! PAC-MAN 256 is available today on App Store, Google Play and Amazon stores, as we have worked on making the game as accessible to as many players as possible on the same day.
“Also, we have been listening to our players and are excited to announce that in PAC-MAN 256, players will have the option to buy the game outright, removing all Free To Play elements,” said Tatsuya Kubota, head of Mobile & Web Gaming at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe S.A.S.
You can now download Pac-Man 256 for Android for free via Google Play store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.3.3 and up.
For iOS users, the game can be downloaded for free through App Store. It should run smoothly on all devices powered by iOS 7.1 or later.
