OnePlus is trying to push new software updates to its high-end smartphones as often as possible. This is why both OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones are among the few that run Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Today, the Chinese company has announced that a new update is being pushed to OnePlus 3 and 3T, which brings the latest security patch, as well as some nice improvements.

If you're running a stable OxygenOS version, then you should be looking for version 4.1.0, which is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. As the title says, the update adds the latest March security patch, so you'll be safe from many of the exploits discovered in the last couple of weeks.

Also, OnePlus announced that alongside the March security update, it added expanded screenshots, as well as improved picture taking of moving objects with blur reduction.

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity have been enhanced as well, so you should experience that right away when using these features. Last but definitely not least, the new update brings improved video stability when recording.

Just like with every other OxygenOS update, OnePlus included some more than welcome general bug fixes, but no additional details are offered.

Those of you who own the OnePlus 3 or 3T should know that the OTA (over the air) update is delivered in stages, so everyone should be getting it in the coming days. Only a small percentage of users will receive OxygenOS 4.1.0 today, but don't fret if you're not among them.

Furthermore, don't forget to provide your feedback after installing the new update, as OnePlus heavily relies on their customers' opinions to polish, add or remove new features.

Future updates released by OnePlus are meant to better optimize and improve several key areas of the software that's running on the 3 and 3T smartphones, so don't be shy and offer your feedback.
