It brings many improvements and bug fixes

Chinese OEM OnePlus has just announced that two of its popular Android smartphones, the OnePlus X and OnePlus 2, are now eligible to receive a new OxygenOS update.

According to the company, OxygenOS 2.1.2 is now rolling out to these devices, so those who own the smartphone should now check for the update.

Keep in mind that the upgrade is deployed OTA (over the air), so you should be notified when OxygenOS 2.1.2 becomes available on your smartphone.

Along with the release announcement, OnePlus has also published the full changelog for this update, and judging from the list of changes, it looks like it only brings improvements and bug fixes.

For example, OnePlus 2 owners will be pleased to know that the update contains fixes for RAW format on third-party camera apps.

Moreover, OnePlus has added lock screen wallpaper and individual icon customization support, as well as performance improvements on application install and launch.

The SD storage issues with OnePlux X will be addressed in a future update

OnePlus 2 users will also notice an enhanced UX for preview in camera application. Russian and Turkish language support has been included too, along with some security patches.

Speaking of bug fixes, OnePlus also mentions that it has addressed some issues with the System Update to improve OTA stability. The update also contains general bug fixes and performance improvements.

Moving on to OnePlus X, the official changelog confirms some UX bug fixes in the Camera application and improvements to color offset in HDR mode.

OnePlus has also included some bug fixes to System Update to improve OTA stability, as well as system optimizations in low battery state. Last but not least, developers have implemented some other under-the-hood enhancements and general bug fixes.

In the same piece of news, the Chinese company confirms that it's aware of some issues users experienced with SD storage on OnePlus X devices and that it will provide a fix very soon.
