The surprise that Nokia had in store for its fans leaked a couple of days before the official announcement, so it wasn't that much of a surprise. Still, the previous rumors did not spoil the look of the new Nokia 3310, a phone that HMD Global decided to revive.

Today, after announcing that the Nokia 6 will go global, alongside two new smartphones, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, HMD has had a “one more thing” moment during its press conference. The reveal of the modern Nokia 3310 left many with a bitter taste due to the phone's modified design.

Aside from the obviously different design, there are a couple of meaningful changes that HDM Global implemented to make the modern Nokia 3310 more suitable for the demands of today's customers.

The problem is some of these changes possibly turn the modern Nokia 3310 into a completely different device compared to the original model. So, why would HMD Global pretend to have revived one of the most popular feature phones ever launched on the market, if the new device has been drastically modified?

Well, that remains for each and every one to decide. The good news is the modern Nokia 3310 won't cost a fortune, as HMD Global announced the feature phone would be available for purchase for €49.

The new Nokia 3310 comes with a color display and a larger battery. It also brings back the addictive Snake game that was made popular by the original feature phone.

Also, just like the original model, the new Nokia 3310 comes in different colors: Warm Red and Yellow, both with a gloss finish, and Dark Blue and Grey, both with a matte finish.

We've put the old Nokia 3310 against the new one, so you can decide which one would be more suitable to your needs. That if the old Nokia 3310 would still be available for purchase, which is not.
