Chinese company Oppo has just announced its latest Android smartphones, R7 Plus and R7 Lite will be available in India beginning this month.

According to a new report, the R7 Plus should go on sale in India on September 25 for Rs 29,990 outright, which is about $450 or €405. The smartphone will be available in Gold and Silver color options.

On the other hand, Oppo R7 Lite will only cost Rs 17,990 ($270 / €240). The smartphone will land in India on September 10 and will be available in the same Gold and Silver color options.

It's also worth mentioning both smartphones come preloaded with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box and Color OS 2.1 custom skin. Also, both feature metal body and offer dual-SIM and 4G LTE support.

Given the higher price, Oppo R7 Plus offer better features. It boasts a large 6-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Both feature Snapdragon 615 chipsets and 13MP rear cameras

The phablet is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 405 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

The R7 Plus packs 32GB storage inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot (uses SIM 2 slot).

On the back, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel camera with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, laser autofocus, dual-LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording. Also, there's a no less impressive 8-megapixel camera in the front for great selfies and video calls.

Oppo R7 Plus drains energy from a high-capacity 4,100 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Furthermore, the Lite version of the Oppo R7 comes with a much smaller 5-inch AMOLED HD (720p) display that features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

The phone is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory expandable via microSD card slot.

It packs a similar 13-megapixel camera but with Sony IMX214 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The same 8-megapixel camera is positioned in the front as well. Also, Oppo R7 Lite is powered by a much smaller 2,320 mAh battery.

Both smartphones come with multiple connectivity options such as 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, and GPS with AGPS support.
