14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese company Oppo released the R9 and R9 Plus smartphones a little while ago, but a new device is about to make its debut in China, the Find 9.
The smartphone hasn’t been officially unveiled, but the Oppo Find 9 has been listed at GFXBench with codename X9009. On paper, the handset looks like a flagship smartphone, though some of the specs listed might not be accurate.
Since the smartphone has already appeared in benchmark databases, we expect Oppo Find 9 to be revealed very soon, possibly by the end of this month.
The only downside of the Find 9 could be the fact that it comes with a full HD (1080p) display, which might not be fit for a flagship smartphone though Xiaomi Mi 5 comes with a similar screen and is already very popular among Android users.
A powerful Helio P10 CPU, 64GB storage
The size of the FHD display is 5.5-inch, which puts it in the phablet category. More importantly, Oppo Find 9 will come equipped with a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor, coupled with a Mali-T860 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
According to the listing, Oppo Find 9 will pack no less than 64GB of internal memory, but we hope the smartphone will also feature a microSD card slot for memory expansion. We do know that it will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop, which is a bit of a downside.
Another selling point of the flagship could be the 16-megapixel photo snapper in the front, which should allow users to capture state-of-the-art selfies. At the back, the Find 9 includes a 12-megapixel camera that features autofocus, LED flash, and 4K video recording.
There’s no mention of battery and dual-SIM support, but we expect more information about Oppo Find 9 to emerge in the next couple of weeks. It’s also worth mentioning that the smartphone might be available in different versions, based on the amount of storage and chipset inside (Qualcomm SoC?).
