14 DAY TRIAL // Oppo’s latest flagship smartphone offers something that should make it stand out from other top-tier handsets available on the market: an impressive front-facing camera.
The Chinese company has decided to include a 16-megapixel selfie camera inside the F1 Plus, its newest high-end Android smartphone that should go on sale very soon for just €390 ($425) outright.
It will first make its debut in India, but then it will be rolled out in Asia, the Middle East, as well as North Africa and Europe. However, Europeans won’t get the Oppo F1 Plus until next month.
According to Oppo, “the F1 Plus' Hi-light Camera is four times more sensitive, has twice the dynamic range, and captures shots with four times less noise, compared to cameras without the technology. As a result, the Hi-light Camera produces exceptionally clear and bright images, and excels at low-light, back-lit and night-time photography.”
It will come with ColorOS 3.0 onboard
But besides the impressive front-facing camera, the F1 Plus flagship also includes powerful hardware inside, such as a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Announced back at Mobile World Congress 2016, Oppo’s VOOC Flash Charge is included in the F1 Plus as well, which means the smartphone’s battery should charge up from 0% to 75% in just 30 minutes.
On the back, Oppo F1 Plus features a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording. There’s also a fingerprint sensor under the Home button. The flagship smartphone is powered by a 2,850 mAh battery, which should be enough, considering the F1 Plus does not come with a Quad HD screen.
Oppo has decided to include a 5.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution. It’s also worth mentioning the device will run the brand new ColorOS 3.0 right out of the box.
