On October 8, Opera Software announced the release and immediate availability for download and testing of a new version of their Opera 34 web browser, which is currently in the Developer channel.

According to the release notes, Opera 34.0 Build 2011.0 is both a feature and bugfix release that renames the "Discover" component announced a while ago to "News" as it was quite confusing for many Opera users.

The "News" section of the Opera web browser helps users discover the latest news and trends without too much hassle. Moreover, Opera 34.0 Build 2011.0 introduces a new Share button for users of the Mac OS X operating system.

The Share button on Mac OS X can be used to share web content from within the Opera web browser via popular social networks, including Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, as well as internal Mac OS X apps, such as Messages, Notes, or Reminders.

"Today, we are bringing an update to Opera Developer 34. In this release, we would like to turn your attention to the following highlights," says Aneta Reluga, Desktop QA Team at Opera Software.

Based on Chromium 47.0.2508.0

In addition to the new features mentioned above, Opera Developer 34.0.2011.0 is now based on the open-source Chromium 47.0.2508.0 web browser and adds several improvements to the recently implemented address bar recommendations feature.

There's also MSE Audio support implemented in Opera Developer 34, which means that users will be able to playback MP3 tracks from Google Play Music or similar audio streaming services.

Last but not least, two crashes have been fixed, one related to the Tab Preview feature, and another one related to certain video and plugin web pages on the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.

The next version promises to bring download improvements, but until then you can download Opera 34.0 Build 2011.0 for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows operating systems right now from Softpedia. Please keep in mind though that this is a pre-release version, not suitable for production use.
