A new important Beta update has been released for Opera

Opera developers have released the next 32 Beta upgrade for the Opera web browser, and it marks the beginning of another development cycle. Now that all the platforms have reached feature parity, we expect to see the new version land on Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X.

Opera has been rebased on Chromium a while back, and the support for Linux took almost a full year to arrive. In any case, Opera for Linux is now a citizen with equal rights and all the features that usually land are available for everyone. The current development cycle for Opera 32 doesn't bring anything terribly complicated, but there are a couple of new options that should be interesting enough.

The web browser is advancing in small steps, but some of the releases have been very impressive, like the previous 31 branch. Also, there are some rumors floating around that Opera is now for sale and that some offers have been made already. There is nothing certain about this information, so make sure that you take it with a pinch of salt.

Opera 32 Beta arrives with Bookmark tree view

"We’re introducing an improved bookmark tree view in this release, so you can create and maintain the structure you would like more easily. You can view it either from the drop-down menu or from the side panel in the bookmark manager," wrote the developers in the official announcement.

Another interesting feature is the addition of passwords synchronization, which allows people to make use of their passwords across devices. As you can see, this is still in the Beta stages, but it will be ready for stable.

According to the changelog, settings tabs should be scrolled up on change, naming folders in Speed Dial now works much better, the heart popup is now closed on history navigation by using keyboard shortcuts, logging out from sync causes crash, and many more other fixes have been added.

You can download the latest Opera 32 Beta for Linux from Softpedia, and the Windows and Mac OS X versions can be downloaded from the same page. Enjoy!
