openSUSE uses will now be able to install NVIDIA drivers a lot easier

New versions of openSUSE are always welcome, but it seems that users have a hard time with the NVIDIA drivers update whenever a new build is released.

An OpenSuSE developer has put together a few one-click packages for the openSUSE users, which should help everyone update their systems a lot faster.

“Though installing ‘the hard way’ isn't that hard, I've been thinking about a more automated procedure. We have DKMS, NVIDIA supports it, and, based on Overman79's packages for Bumblebee / Optimus configurations, inspired by the pipelight experiences with4 rbos I've now built a package that should do just that: dkms-nvidia” said Gertjan Lettink on the official forums.

In order to get these one-click packages to work you will need to meet some conditions: you must not have any other NVIDIA drivers installed, and this procedure works only for the 331.20 driver.

A complete guide for this procedure can be found on the openSUSE forum.
