After a 5-day delay, the openSUSE Project announced last evening (December 18) the immediate availability for download and testing of the second and last Milestone release of the upcoming openSUSE 12.3 operating system.

Being powered by Linux kernel 3.6, this second and last Milestone release of the upcoming OpenSuSE 12.3 Linux distribution comes packed with lots of goodies, just in time for some hardcore winter holidays testing sessions, bringing new features, updated packages and numerous bug fixes.

This version incorporates the second Beta release of the upcoming KDE 4.10 desktop environment, the latest stable release of the GNOME 3.6 desktop environment, an updated LibreOffice office suite from the 3.6 series, as well as applications like Claws Mail 3.9 and QEMU 1.3.0.

It appears that the openSUSE development team are preparing the final release of the openSUSE 12.3 operating system with Linux kernel 3.7 and KDE 4.10 on board.
