Even if it was made available on FTP servers a week ago, Kim Leyendecker announced today that the development of openSUSE 12.2 started and the first Milestone release, available for download and testing.

openSUSE 12.2 Milestone 1 features the recently released KDE Software Compilation 4.8, Firefox 10 web browser and new artwork.

"There have been enough weeks without another release, so I started now with uploading Milestone1 of 12.2 (build151). The main purpose of this release is to find all the places that need to be changed from 12.1 to 12.2 – the branding already made a great start."

"Milestone1 sure looks great – and different to 12.1 already at this early stage. Great work, artwork team.
" - said Stephan Kulow, openSUSE release manager.

It looks like * . When will KDE realise that the appearance of the desktop environment is the most important feature. What is up with box around the icons? Don't care how many great features it has as long as I can't stand to see it.
