The first release candidate for OpenSuSE 11.3 has been made available and is ready for eager users to see what the next iteration of the popular Linux distro has in store for them. openSUSE 11.3 RC1 comes with a very light release announcement, but packs plenty of bugfixes and other finishing touches. Several “annoying” bugs were squashed since the last Milestone and, at the moment, there’s just one known waiting to be fixed.

Ladies and Gentlemen, please fasten your seat belts, the touch down area is in sight we do have clear view and smooth weather conditions. So we expect a smooth landing for the release of openSUSE 11.3 on July 15, 2010. Let’s polish and fine tune openSUSE 11.3 now,” the release announcement read.

February 1st - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 1; February 18th - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 2; March 4th - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 3; March 25th - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 4; April 14th - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 5; May 3rd - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 6; May 26th - openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 7; June 17th - openSUSE 11.3 RC1; July 1st - openSUSE 11.3 RC2; July 15th - openSUSE 11.3 Final release.
