In order to build up hype around its upcoming flagship smartphone, OnePlus shared an image taken with the yet unannounced phone. The picture was posted on the company’s Twitter account with the tagline “Can you tell which photo was taken with the OnePlus 5?”

Obviously, the brighter and clearer image was taken with the upcoming OnePlus 5, while the company didn’t reveal which smartphone it used to snap the other picture. One of the main selling points of the upcoming smartphone is the dual-camera setup on the back, made in collaboration with DxO Mark.

In addition, OnePlus 5 is expected to come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 platform, together with 6GB of RAM and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone will also feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a battery capacity higher than 3,000mAh. Improved touch latency is also expected on the new OnePlus 5 and the device will run OxygenOS out of the box, enhanced with a number of features.

OnePlus 5 will be announced this summer

USB Type-C port could be found on the new device, together with internal memory reaching 64GB or 128GB. Moreover, the phone’s price tag could reach about $650 and it might be announced this summer, possibly in June or July.

In preparation for OnePlus 5’s arrival, the company already confirmed its intention to discontinue the previous flagship, the OnePlus 3T, starting June 1 in Europe. Aside from this, OnePlus also started a Referral Program that will help users save some money on the OnePlus 5.

Customers who purchased a OnePlus smartphone directly from OnePlus in the past are automatically eligible to join the Referral Program. Once they do so, they can share the link with friends and family. When they use the link, they will receive 20$ off an accessory of their choosing. In addition, OnePlus grants the user 100 referral points which can bring discounts for T-shirts, messenger bags, accessories and smartphones purchased directly from OnePlus.
