OnePlus officially announced recently that it started work on another smartphone, and some recent leaks reveal that the phone could arrive at the end of June. Now, details about specs have just surfaced on China’s social network Weibo.

A report reveals that OnePlus 5 could feature a dual-camera setup on the back, but in a horizontal position, as opposed to the previously rumored vertical dual-lens setup. Camera samples allegedly taken with the OnePlus 5 pointed towards 16MP dual-lens on the back of the phone, but we’ll have to wait for more information to confirm that.

The battery capacity inside the new smartphone could be 3,600mAh, which could be enough to fuel the device that is now said to feature a full HD display.

Previous reports claimed that OnePlus could make the switch to a 2k display on the OnePlus 5, but that won’t be the case. A 2k display would have taken up quite a lot of power and the 3,600mAh battery capacity may not have been enough to fuel the device, especially since the screen size is said to be 5.5 inches.

Front fingerprint sensor and 6GB of RAM

Moving on, the report confirms that Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 platform will be featured on the new smartphone, together with 25% improvement in battery charging speed. The fingerprint sensor on the OnePlus 5 will be located in the front of the device, as previously leaked renders revealed.

It remains to be seen if the upcoming smartphone will feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, but there isn't any definitive information on that yet. When it comes to RAM capacity inside the new phone, leaks seem to point to 6GB, while internal storage might reach 128GB.

Previous rumors had suggested 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard memory on the new phone, but the latest report refutes that. OnePlus 5 is also expected to come with water and dust resistance, while the phone is said to run Android Nougat out of the bix, with the custom UI, OxygenOS, on top.
