OnePlus is expected to host an event on June 20, which will be livestreamed online. The official unveiling of the OnePlus 5 will be followed by a number of pop-up events around the world, including in New York.

OnePlus has been teasing the announcement for quite some time now and a recent report reveals all about the upcoming smartphone. The leak shows the front and back panel of the flagship, revealing a sleek design and a vertical dual-camera setup on the back, similar to Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus.

The phone will come with 16MP and 20MP lenses on the rear, with f/1.7 and f/2.6 aperture. In terms of display size, it will have a 5.5-inch screen with 1080p resolution and support for DCI-P3 color space. The fingerprint sensor is located below the display and will have the ability to unlock the device in just 2.0 seconds.

Snapdragon 835 and 6GB or 8GB of RAM

The smartphone will run Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 platform with an octa-core 2.45GHz CPU and Adreno 540 graphics processing unit. It will come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM, while battery capacity will reach 3,300mAh with Dash Charge, which allows the smartphone to charge from 0% to 92% in just one hour.

OnePlus 5 will come with 64 or 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage and will feature support for Bluetooth 5.0. In terms of pricing, the report mentions that the phone will sell for about $479, which is $40 more than OnePlus 3T and $80 more than OnePlus 3.

It’s worth mentioning that the information hasn’t been officially confirmed, but all will be revealed during OnePlus’ unveiling event on June 20.  In addition, registrations for OnePlus 5 are already available on China’s JD.com, prior to the June 22 flash sale.

The official retail price in China is unknown, most likely OnePlus will offer the 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage version there, seeing how the smartphone market is much more competitive than in other parts of the world.
