OnePlus is known to be working on a new smartphone, one that’s been rumored to feature a dual-camera setup on the rear. Sketches and renders of such a device have long surfaced online and now the picture of a prototype reveals the vertical dual-camera setup.

The image which surfaced at Android Authority shows the back of the OnePlus 5 prototype, revealing the dual-lens setup in a vertical position, together with the LED flash below. The phone is clearly made out of metal, and the back panel does resemble that of last year’s OnePlus 3T, with the exception of two camera sensors.

OnePlus branding is also visible below the camera setup and LED flash. Moreover, when designing the new smartphone, OnePlus seems to have placed more space between the three-way switch on the side and the volume rocker.

OnePlus 5 will be more expensive than its predecessor

The source also mentions that OnePlus’ upcoming smartphone will carry a higher price tag than previous phones. The actual retail price wasn’t revealed, but the source did suggest that the price hike would be “significant.”

OnePlus 5 could actually cost up to $650, as the company is now focusing on taking on big players on the market, and in order to ensure its competitiveness, it must equip the new phone with high-end features. The inclusion of premium specs means that the OnePlus 5 bill of materials will surely increase, with the addition of a dual-lens setup and the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor.

The new OnePlus 5 phone is also said to feature a 5.5-inch full HD or even QHD AMOLED display, with 6GB of RAM. There have been rumors that suggested an 8GB of RAM capacity on the new phone, while the device will surely run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box, with OnePlus’ OxygenOS on top. Battery capacity might be higher than 3,000mAh, but it’s unsure how big the juicer will actually be. OnePlus has announced that OnePlus 5 will debut this summer, possibly next month.
