14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has unveiled today the newest member of the OnePlus smartphone family, OnePlus 5, a gorgeous 5.5-inch device shipping with theAndroid 7.1.1 Nougat mobile operating system.
OnePlus 5 was revealed a few moments ago during a live event as the thinnest OnePlus smartphone ever created. The device comes with a dual camera system for clearer photos and improved HDR, the latest Android Nougat operating system, as well as amazing specs that you can see below if plan to ditch your old OnePlus mobile phone.
Dash Charge is another new feature introduced in OnePlus 5, which is a new charching technology that appears to charge your device a lot faster than the ones available on other popular Android mobile phones, such as Samsung S8. As expected, OnePlus 5 sports the latest version of the Android-based Oxygen OS interface.

The 7.25 mm thick device features a superb and generously 5.5-inch display with 1080p (1080 x 1920) resolution and Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors and Corning Gorilla Glass 5, OnePlus 5 sports a Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset that's accompanied by an 2.45 GHz Kryo Octa-core CPU and an Adreno 540 GPU.
The device has a dual camera (16 MP f/1.7 and 20 MP f/2.6) with phase detection autofocus and LED flash, 2160p video recording at 30fps, as well as a secondary 8 MP, 1080p camera on the front for selfies. Connectivity wise, OnePlus 5 comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot support, A2DP Bluetooth LE 5.0, built-in GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS support, and USB Type-C 1.0.
Fingerprint (front-mounted), gyro, accelerometer, compass, and proximity sensors are also available on the OnePlus 5 smartphone, which features a non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery. The device comes in Midnight Black and Slate Gray 64 GB and 128 GB flavors with 6 GB and 8 GB RAM respectively. OnePlus 5 is now available for pre-order from the official OnePlus online store for the sum of $479 USD in the U.S. or 499€ in EU. It will ship starting June 27, 2017.
