With just one day ahead of the OnePlus 3T's official unveil, the first rumors about the Chinese company's next year flagship have emerged. The OnePlus 4, or whatever its name, will be a bombshell if we are to believe the information coming from a source in China.

There is one thing that we should clarify, though, before going into more details. Although these specs might look mind-blowing right now, they might not be so unusual by the time OnePlus 4 gets released next year.

And as many of you probably know by now, OnePlus usually launches its flagship smartphones at the beginning of the summer and they are made available for purchase soon after that.

That being said, the new rumors that have just surfaced might not seem that far-fetched after all. It might be hard to believe now that the OnePlus 4 could pack 8GB of RAM inside, but much can happen by the time the smartphone goes official.

The Chinese handset maker is expected to launch two OnePlus 4 variants based on the amount of RAM: 6GB and 8GB. In fact, the OnePlus 4 could be the world's first smartphone to include 8GB of RAM.

OnePlus could adopt dual-camera setup for its next flagship

Aside from that, the OnePlus 4 is said to feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 or 835 processor, along with a dual-camera setup that will feature Augmented and Mixed Reality compatibility. It will also come with 128GB of storage, but there might not be a microSD card slot included.

Another highlight of the phone is the 5.3-inch AMOLED display that will support Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. The OnePlus 4 will feature a glass-made unibody design and it will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.

As the title says, it's a bit early for these rumors to be accurate, as OnePlus is now focused on an entirely different product: the OnePlus 3T. Only time will tell if any of these details are correct.
