In fact, with the numerous leaks and official announcements, the hype surrounding this new smartphone began months ago. Now, the manufacturer has posted all the 4G LTE bands that OnePlus 3 will support in North America.
OnePlus will be releasing three versions of the OnePlus 3, one for North America, another for Europe, and the last for the Chinese market. The company has listed 4G LTE band support in the official specs of the OnePlus 3, and it seems that the device will thus support 1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, and 17 bands in North America.
This means that the handset will work for AT&T and T-Mobile users, as well as other Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO). It's worth knowing that MVNO includes carriers like Cricket, MetroPCS, Tracfone, Ting, Walmart Family Mobile, Simple Mobile, Straight Talk, and many others.
However, the disappointing news is that OnePlus 3 won’t work on Verizon because the carrier’s band 13 wasn’t listed, and neither will on Sprint.
OnePlus 3 supports all major carrier networks in Europe and China
All major carriers in Europe will have support for their 4G LTE bands, as well as those from China. The smartphone sells unlocked, but fans should check if their carrier is supported.
OnePlus 3 was launched in a virtual reality event held yesterday, and the smartphone was dubbed the “flagship killer” due to its powerful specs and affordable price. The OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display and 6GB of RAM, coupled with 64GB of internal storage. It also has a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and a 16MP rear-facing camera as well as an 8MP front snapper.
During the event, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau also mentioned that the company had no intention of continuing the OnePlus X range of affordable smartphones, but would instead focus on releasing flagships.
