14 DAY TRIAL // OnePlus is definitely an atypical smartphone manufacturer, one that aims to create premium devices without making any compromises when it comes to specs. The company has been gradually increasing its user base, and with the launch of its latest flagship, it will surely attract even more fans. CEO Carl Pei has stated on Twitter that OnePlus 3 Gold variant will arrive in July.
Users who aren’t so keen on OnePlus 3’s Graphite color variant can hold off their purchase and wait until late July to check out and snatch a brand new version. We know this because OnePlus CEO Carl Pei has stated on Twitter that they will be releasing another color variant for the OnePlus 3, namely Soft Gold.
The release date has been pegged sometime in the second half of July, and while nothing is set in stone, it is good news that the version will come sooner rather than later.
For now, OnePlus 3 is only available in Graphite color version
Many smartphone manufacturers choose to release their flagships in multiple color variants, since some users simply don’t care for grey ones while others like their phones to come in darker colors, especially black. However, OnePlus 3 only comes in Graphite, which means that another color variant would certainly be welcome on the market.
OnePlus 3 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and Snapdragon 820 chipset inside, together with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB of RAM. It also provides 64GB of storage and a 16MP camera on the back, with an 8MP one on the front.
The smartphone was released just a few days ago, and it’s already available for purchase on the manufacturer’s website. It's worth knowing that no invite is required. It seems that OnePlus truly has many fans around the world, since it only took under 10 minutes for the smartphone to be sold out during the flash sale at JD.com. Indian fans bought the phones for the equivalent of $379 and emptied the retailer’s stock in under 10 minutes, according to Playfuldroid.
