14 DAY TRIAL // OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 3 earlier this summer, and since then, it has released two updates to OxygenOS. Just recently, the company has started rolling out another update to the operating system running on its newly introduced smartphone, namely OxygenOS 3.2.2.
OxygenOS 3.2.2 comes with some improvements and a few bug fixes. As it turns out, the update brings enhanced notification management in doze whereas the alert slider and silent mode issue in the previous release has also been addressed.
In addition, the new update brings disabled fingerprint sensor while the device is in the owner's pocket. Needless to say that this feature is truly useful, since unintended phone unlocks are really annoying, and they can result in pocket dialing and other inconveniences.
The update also brings an NFC toggle in quick settings and improved noise cancellation in video recording. Moreover, the company has updated the 4K video recording codec and added the latest security patches and various optimizations, but it hasn't quite mentioned which optimizations exactly.
OnePlus has also released OnePlus 3 Soft Gold color variant
A while ago, OnePlus released the OxygenOS 3.2.0 update with improved RAM management, after some users complained that the OnePlus 3 didn't make proper use of its 6GB of RAM. Indeed, the company designed the RAM management with battery efficiency in mind, but that displeased quite a lot of people.
The update was quickly halted, and OxygenOS 3.2.1 was released afterwards. The company failed to mention why version 3.2.0 was blocked, but it did bring extra improvements in the following version.
Meanwhile, OnePlus has also been busy releasing the new OnePlus 3 Soft Gold variant, which is now available on the manufacturer's website for the price of $399, the same as the Graphite one. The company was believed to release more color versions, but it quickly shut down rumors. It seems that fans are left with just the two Soft Gold and Graphite variants of the OnePlus 3.
