OnePlus plans to make things easier for buyers

One of the reasons the OnePlus One smartphone became so popular was its controversial acquiring system. If you woke up one day and decided you wanted to get the OnePlus One, you couldn't just open the browser, find the company’s webshop and order an item from there. No, perspective users had to sign up if they wanted to purchase a OnePlus One and wait until an invitation was made available to them.

However, with the OnePlus 2, which is set to launch in exactly 11 days, the company will set up a “new and improved” invite system.

The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, said the team took the negative feedback it received to heart, so it is looking to make the process of ordering a OnePlus 2 much easier.

You'll be able to get the OnePlus 2 a lot more quickly

The thing is OnePlus is a lot more confident that its next-gen flagship will be successful, because let’s face it, it has already built a name for itself with the previous model.

With that in mind, the manufacturer plans to have thirty to fifty times the amount of inventory it had with the OnePlus One when it launches its next smartphone.

On top of that, customers are going to benefit from a “quick and painless reservation list,” which means you won’t have to waste your time hunting for invites to get your smartphone.

You’ll just have to enter your email address and OnePlus will go ahead and send you an invite, as soon as there is one available. However, early forum supporters will get priority.

As last year, those who purchase a OnePlus 2 will be getting invites to pass along to others. But this time, these invites will be made available a lot sooner. And yes, this year, interested parties will be receiving physical invite cards to purchase the OnePlus 2.

The smartphone is one of the most anticipated devices of this summer. It is expected to arrive with a QHD display, Snapdragon 810 processor (second, improved version), 4GB of RAM, 13MP f/2.0 camera, 3,300 mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C connector.

OnePlus will announce the phone during a VR event set for July 27. We’ll keep an eye out for it.
