Everyone knows that Microsoft's making big efforts to stay relevant in the mobile business, and the company is working to bring new flagship devices to the market, but no official information has been available until now, despite the fact that it's believed that the launch could take place in about 2 months.

And now thanks to Evan Blass, owner of Twitter account @evleaks, we finally get to see what seem to be the official press renders of the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, both of which will debut soon with Windows 10 Mobile.

As you can see in these photos, both devices come with the familiar Lumia design, with square looks and a simple Windows logo on the back cover. Microsoft branding is used on the front, just like on the current models.

In terms of design, there doesn't seem to be anything too exciting about the new flagships, but as far as specs are concerned, the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL are very likely to be two workhorses.

Unconfirmed specs

According to information that has reached the web through unofficial channels, which means that it's not yet confirmed, the Lumia 950 will come with a polycarbonate body and will feature a 5.2-inch display.

A Snapdragon 808 processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM will power the device, while a 20-megapixel camera promises to take stunning photos in all light conditions. 32 GB of storage space will also be offered, but microSD card support will also be there for even more space, while a 3,000 mAh battery should be enough to get you through the day.

The Lumia 950 XL will come with almost the same specs but will feature a Snapdragon 810 processor. Both devices will boast USB Type-C and 5-megapixel front cameras for selfies and video calls. An iris scanner will also be integrated for Windows Hello authentication.

As far as the launch is concerned, Microsoft is expected to show both of them at a dedicated event in New York in October.
