This is the “Windows 10 PC that fits into your pocket”

Intel’s Compute Stick is pretty much the smallest Windows 10 PC you can get right now, but if you’re looking for something that is not only easy to carry around but also looks really good, here’s the so-called Ockel Sirius B.

Presented as part of a fundraising campaign on Indiegogo, the Sirius B is described by its creators as “the first complete Windows 10 PC that fits into your pocket.” And the official dimensions confirm that this small PC can indeed fit into your pocket.

It measures 123x79x11 mm (4.84x3.11x0.43 inches), which brings it very close to the most popular smartphones on the market, such as the iPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6. What’s more, it has a weight that’s even below the one of these smartphones - 120 grams (4.23 ounces). Imagine that a baseball has a weight of 145 grams (5.11 ounces), so this PC is super light.

Hardware specifications

While Intel’s Compute Stick isn’t quite breathtaking in terms of hardware specifications, the Sirius B is a little bit more advanced and seems to be worth the money.

First and foremost, it comes with an Intel Atom Bay-trail Z3735F quad-core processor running at 1.33 GHz in normal mode and 1.83 GHz in turbo, Intel HD graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, 32 GB eMMC flash storage, and microSD card support for an addition of 128 GB of space. There are two USB ports for external HDD drives, so you can significantly expand storage.

Moreover, the PC comes with 1 HDMI port, 1 3.5mm audio connector, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi support.

Obviously, this is by no means supposed to be a workhorse, but a PC for regular use, and the company behind the project confirms this.

“The performance of the Sirius B is excellent for normal day to day use. That means you can browse, email, edit documents, stream your favorite media and many other day to day tasks without any problem. We don’t like selling something as different from what it really is, so that’s why we tell you not to expect to play heavy 3D games with the Ockel Sirius B,” they say.

There are two versions available, as follows: $149 (€110) with no pre-installed operating system, and $169 (€135) with Windows 10.

Until now, the campaign has already reached $110,000 (€90,000), and the first units should start shipping in December.
