It improves performance in Windows 10 and fixes BSODs

It’s not a secret that many Windows 10 users have experienced problems with their hardware because of the lack of compatible drivers, so Microsoft itself has worked together with partners across the world to update their software and address these bugs.

Nvidia is one of the companies that have joined forces with Microsoft for updated graphics drivers, specifically because it was reported that a number of devices were stuck with BSODs due to faulty software.

A new version of the GeForce drivers is specifically supposed to address these issues and improve reliability in Windows 10, while also resolving a number of problems experienced by users when playing certain games.

As we've recently reported on this new version, GeForce 361.43 WHQL drivers include a patch for the lag experienced when playing Star Wars Battlefront with SLI enabled after updating to 359.06, while also reconfiguring GM20x’s clock speeds.

Windows 10 fixes

But what’s more important for Windows 10 users is that this new driver version fixes the BSODs that some might be getting when working on their computers.

In most of the cases, these BSODs occur all of a sudden when launching games, watching YouTube videos or opening a video on a computer running Windows 10, but we’ve heard from users that other unusual behavior can also be experienced. Sometimes, the system freezes without a BSOD or an error, so it’s basically impossible to tell what the cause of the problem actually is.

Nvidia promises that significantly improved performance should be noticed after the update, and some of the BSODs should no longer be there, so there’s no doubt that this is worth a try.

If you’re on Windows 10 and have a GeForce card, you are recommended to download NVIDIA GeForce Graphics Driver 361.43 right away. In case you’re seeing any bugs after the update, although this is very unlikely, you can always roll back to the previous version.
