Information on upcoming Nokia smartphones continues to pop up online. Yesterday we reported that pictures of the Nokia C1 were leaked, showing off the phone’s sleek design, and now Nokia Z2 Plus has just appeared on Geekbench, and this is probably the first time this phone model surfaces.

Geekbench listings don’t show much information on upcoming devices, except for some single-core and multi-core benchmarking results. The numbers show that the Z2 Plus will probably be a high-end model with advanced specs.

The smartphone appears to incorporate a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, the second most powerful Qualcomm chipset after the SD 821. The phone also has 4GB of RAM and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow pre-installed. It received 2,156 points in the single-core test and 5,217 points in the multi-core one, a decent result for a phone running SD820 SoC with 4GB of RAM. In addition, it appears that the chipset is clocked at 1.77GHz.

Nokia C1 is another smartphone in the works

There’s no information as to when this phone will see the light of day, but HMD Global has expressed its intentions to deliver two high-end Nokia smartphones next year.

The device could have 5.2 and 5.5-inch displays, as well as 4GB or 6GB of RAM capacity. One of the two phones could very well be the Nokia C1, considering that the device is said to run Snapdragon 830 SoC and have 4GB of RAM.

The phone could be made available in multiple storage variants, including 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. It might draw power from a 3,210mAh battery and run Android 7.1.1 out of the box. In addition, it could have dual-rear cameras with 12 and 16MP sensors, as well as a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The phone is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2017.
