These devices might be prototypes still under development

Since we've started the new year with news about Nokia's upcoming smartphone, here is more information about other devices that might be branded with the Finnish company's logo.

A new video meant to show Nokia's vision and its plans in the smartphone business contains images of what appear to be unreleased products.

At least a tablet and a smartphone that haven't been seen on the market yet appear in the less-than-2-minute video published on YouTube.

The tablet shown in the video looks very much like the N1 that was selling so well in China, but it seems much larger than the 7.9-inch slate.

Also, the external buttons are arranged differently on the left side, which is why we can safely assume the tablet in the video is not the Nokia N1 that's already available on the market.

An entry-level smartphone and a mid-range tablet

Next in line, there's a smartphone with a glossy back, which strongly resembles the rumored Nokia C1. We reported on Nokia's upcoming C1 handset a while ago, but this is the first time the Finnish company indirectly confirms its existence.

The Nokia C1 seems to be more of a low- to mid-end device rather than a flagship smartphone. It doesn't look like the latest Nokia prototype unit leaked online, which features full metal body.

These are just two of the unannounced products that we've spotted in Nokia's video, but others might be launched by the Finnish company by the end of the year.

Nokia has announced that it will be allowed to launch its own smartphone in late 2016, but the company has said that it will first need to find a partner that will help with the manufacture and distribution of the new handset.

We have yet to confirm the name of the company that will license the Nokia brand for one of its smartphones, but we expect more details to emerge in the coming months.
