The amount of memory will be different as well

Now that Nokia has confirmed that HMD Global will announce the first Android smartphones wearing its brand in early 2017, we can start talking about the devices that will be unveiled next year.

One of the phones that we've been talking about for quite a long time is the Nokia D1C, which was leaked numerous times in the past. The D1C is just a codename for the Nokia smartphone, so HMD Global should launch it on the market under a different name.

If you're a Nokia fan, you probably have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the D1C since we've reported about the smartphone quite a few times.

Today, new information about the Nokia D1C suggests the smartphone will be available in more than one version. In fact, HMD Global is likely to launch two Nokia D1C variants with different display, size, and amount of memory. Obviously, they will be priced differently as well.

The most powerful Nokia D1C will be packed with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD card).

Also, it will come with an impressive 16-megapixel camera on the back and a large 5.5-inch display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution.

On the other hand, the cheaper version of the Nokia D1C will pack only 2GB RAM, but the same Snapdragon 430 processor. On the back, the phone will feature a 13-megapixel photo snapper, instead of the 16-megapixel camera on the other model.

On top of that, it will sport a much smaller 5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution. The rest of the specs are common for both versions of the Nokia D1C.

Nokia D1C is expected to be unveiled in February 2107 at the Mobile World Congress trade fair. The phone will probably ship one month later with the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system right out of the box.
