Nokia is working on a new upcoming smartphone, the D1C, which has recently appeared on Geekbench and now on AnTuTu, in another benchmarking test. The listing discloses some specs that will be featured on the upcoming phone.

The AnTuTu listing shows that Nokia D1C might come with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset and 3GB of RAM, according to Playfuldroid. In addition, the phone could incorporate the Adreno 505 graphics processing unit and have a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Internal storage capacity might reach 32GB, most likely with the option to expand to more.

Moreover, rear camera capacity might be 13MP, with 8MP in the front for snapping selfies and conducting video calls. The smartphone appears to run Android 7.0 Nougat out the box. Listings on benchmarking sites don’t necessarily mean that the final product will have the mentioned specs, as the smartphone manufacturer might decide to change some specs before finally releasing the device.

Nokia D1C was spotted on other benchmarking sites

The listing on Geekbench showed roughly the same specs for Nokia D1C, a 1.4GHz octa-core SD430 SoC and 3GB of RAM. In addition, the smartphone scored 682 points during the single-core test and 3229 during the multi-core one on Geekbench.

Nokia is expected to release three to four Nokia devices running Android this year. They could be announced as soon as the last quarter of this year or early 2017. The device maker might be working on premium smartphones with Snapdragon 821 CPU inside and 5.2- and 5.5-inch OLED displays, but that remains to be seen.

Two such devices were recently spotted on Geekbench having 22.6MP rear cameras and IP68 certification against water and dust damages. They also had 2GB of RAM, which seems a bit low when coupled with the latest processor from Qualcomm. Few details are available at the moment about these Nokia smartphones running Android, but surely we’ll be hearing more in the weeks to come.
