The Windows 10 version will sell in selected markets only

The Nokia C1 saga continues, even though we know for sure that the Finnish company won't be releasing any new smartphones by the end of 2016.

After we've seen a few renders of the Nokia C1 leaked online not long ago, we now have the first specs lined up along with another image of the alleged smartphone.

Some of these specs point at a slightly higher than average mid-end smartphone, but that depends on the version customers will purchase since Nokia plans to launch multiple versions.

First of all, Nokia will release an Android-powered C1, which will be available worldwide. Also, there will be a Windows 10 Mobile variant that will sell in selected markets only, according to NPU.

The same tipster that provided the first images of the Nokia C1 also claims that the smartphone will sport both 5-inch and 5.5-inch displays, depending on which version you prefer. However, both displays sport full HD (1080p) resolution.

There's no mention of the chipset, but that's quite understandable since Nokia is probably going to include one of the new processors launched on the market next year.

Nokia is testing a new C1 prototype

The good news is Nokia C1 will come equipped with either 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, or 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Both versions will be available for purchase at different prices.

Last but not least, the most expensive version of Nokia C1 will pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front.

The cheaper model will only feature an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.

It appears that Nokia has already shelved the original C1, but the company is not prototyping an advanced model that includes the specs mentioned earlier, the same tipster claims.

If the new Nokia C1 prototype really exists, then we expect a lot more details to emerge online next year, so stay tuned.
