Although everyone is anxious to find out more about Nokia's upcoming smartphones, the Finnish company announced it would be present at this year's Mobile World Congress.

However, Nokia fans should not expect any surprise announcements since there won't be any phones unveiled at the trade fair this year.

Nokia will be launching a few new services and solutions at MWC 2016, but it will also talk about its projects that have already been announced in the last couple of months.

After acquiring Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Technologies has become one of world's largest network infrastructure suppliers, which will allow the Finnish company to better compete with other companies like Huawei.

At MWC 2016, Nokia confirmed a press conference for February 21. The company provided us with a list of services and solutions that will be presented at the event as well as during the trade fair between February 22-25.

Nokia's portfolio of services and solutions for 2016 includes the NetGuard Security Management Center, a unique control interface for all security solutions in a multi-vendor network.

Expect LTE-Advanced Pro demos

Nokia's officials will also talk about the AirFrame Data Center Solution, which provides customers with servers, software and OpenCompute project services for data centers.

We're also expecting Nokia to demo its LTE-Advanced Pro project, which should provide four times faster upload speed and three times faster download speed without the need of additional network equipment.

“Our Analytics portfolio helps operators focus on their customers. By combining intelligent analytics engines and Nokia's deep expertise in operating, optimizing and delivering multivendor, multitechnology networks, we deliver top network and service quality along with the ability to take action quickly,” said Bhaskar Gorti, president of Applications & Analytics.

So, sorry for the disappointment, but there won't be any Nokia smartphones news for a while since the Finnish company won't launch one until very late this year.
