HMD Global is expected to announce an exciting new premium smartphone this year and some of its specs have already surfaced online. Nokia 9 was spotted in benchmarks over the past few weeks and it seems that new variants have been tested, according to a report.

There are twenty-seven entries for a device named “Unknown heart” on Geekbench, the codename under which Nokia 9 has appeared in previous tests. The results show that the smartphone runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 platform and has 4GB of RAM.

In previous tests, Nokia 9 appeared to feature 8GB of RAM, thus suggesting that the company is testing several variants and configurations for the unannounced Nokia 9. There’s also the possibility that Nokia 9 with 8GB of RAM could arrive in Asian markets, while the model with 4GB of RAM could be intended for the market in the US.

Nokia 9 might be sold for a price of about $700

Previous rumors say that Nokia 9 could feature a display of 5.3 inches with QHD resolution, together with 557 dpi and 530 nits maximum brightness. Moreover, it might have a dual-camera setup on the back with two 13MP sensors, and a USB Type-C port will be found on the new phone.

Internal storage might reach 64GB, while the device will most likely come with Quick Charge 3.0. In terms of pricing, the phone is said to cost $700 in the US and €750 in Europe. It might also have an Always-On Display feature, that’s very similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S8 tool and will show the clock and recent notifications on the screen.

Nokia 9 will most likely retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and come with a front home button which includes a fingerprint scanner. It will come with Android Nougat out of the box and HMD Global has recently announced that all Nokia phones will receive an update to Android O. The new Android version should be released later this year.
