HMD Global introduced the Nokia 6 during the weekend and promised to get the smartphone into the hands of customers in late January. As some of you probably know, Nokia 6 is exclusively available in China for the moment.

If you want to purchase the Nokia 6, you'll be pleased to know that JD.com, the retailer selling the smartphone, is now taking pre-orders for the smartphone. In fact, customers can reserve their Nokia 6 at the Chinese retailer.

Keep in mind, though, that you will have to pay a $9 fee for each Nokia 6 reservation, which will be deducted from the phone's retail price of $245.

It's also worth mentioning that JD.com has confirmed the Nokia 6 will go on sale on January 19, so if you reserve your phone, you will probably receive it in about a week from now.

Nokia 6 could be launched globally, if we are to believe the latest reports suggesting another variant of the smartphone recently received its Bluetooth certification.

HMD Global is readying another major announcement for Mobile World Congress (MWC), which could reveal at least one other Nokia-branded smartphone.

We reported earlier today about a Nokia-branded flagship that will most likely be announced next month at the trade fair, the Nokia 8. So, if you are patient enough and don't order a Nokia 6, you could purchase HMD's upcoming flagship.

The Nokia 8 is expected to pack a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, and either 64GB or 128GB of internal memory. The smartphone also sports a 5.7-inch display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

On the other hand, the mid-range Nokia 6 comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. Also, it sports a slightly smaller 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution.
