HMD Global and Nokia opened their MWC 2017 press conference with the confirmation of Nokia 6's global availability. The smartphone that sold out in just 23 seconds in China will be available worldwide starting Q2 2017.

According to HMD, more than 1.3 million fans have registered their interest in buying the Nokia 6 in China. Unfortunately, the Finnish company was unable to meet the high demand, so we're wondering how it will cope with a worldwide demand.

The good news is HMD still has a few months to ramp up production of the Nokia 6. Not to mention that the company announced a couple of other handsets that would be launched on the market around the same time, so the demand might split between multiple devices.

Nokia 6 will be available worldwide in four different colors: Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue, and Copper. The phone will cost just €229 outright, but it might be even cheaper than that at carriers.

The big surprise is a beefed-up variant of the Nokia 6. The so-called Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition will be available for €299, but it will pack better hardware inside.

For example, the regular Nokia 6 smartphone packs 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, but the special edition model will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. However, both versions come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 256GB).

Aside from that, there aren't any new hardware changes over the Chinese variant. Still, it's worth mentioning the global Nokia 6 will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat OS and Google Assistant.

HMD has also confirmed that all its Android smartphones will offer the pure experience, which means that fans won't be getting any Nokia proprietary UI (user interface).

We're still waiting for HMD to announce when exactly the Nokia 6 will hit the shelves and which markets will get the smartphone first.
