The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer CD Projekt Red confirms that it's going to debut the next big update for the sprawling role-playing game "in a matter of days." Besides fixing the Steam achievements and a few other problems, the patch is also going to improve the romance option with Triss Merigold.

The Witcher 3 has received quite a few different updates ever since its debut across PC, PS4, and Xbox One back in May. At the same time, developer CD Projekt Red has also released plenty of free downloadable content, while working on the two major expansions set to appear for the RPG in the following months.

The new The Witcher 3 update is coming this week

After sharing brief details about the next patch in the last few days, CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot confirms that the update is set to arrive "in a matter of days," while talking with fans on Twitter.

He once again explains that the patch will solve the problems encountered with achievements by Steam users.

What's more, on the official forums, he also confirms that the upcoming update will make the promised changes to the Triss romance option. A few months ago, the studio explained that it had listened to fan feedback about the relationship protagonist Geralt could have with Triss and promised that it was going to add new dialog to make the whole thing more appealing, especially to those who want to get back in touch with the red-headed sorceress.

As of yet, there's still no concrete release date for the upcoming patch, so fans will have to wait, probably until the end of the week, in order to download the update across PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and actually enjoy the improvements it brings to the big role-playing game.

As for The Witcher 3's future, the Hearts of Gold expansion arrives in October, while the Blood and Wine add-on is scheduled to debut in the first quarter of 2016.
