Coship asks for feedback regarding new phone pricing

Windows 10 users, be they on PC or mobile phones, are kind of used to being asked for feedback, but Chinese company Coship has turned to a pretty different approach regarding its upcoming Windows 10 Mobile premium device.

The firm has revealed that it's launching the so-called Moly PCPhone W6 in July, and in order to make it as successful as possible, it wants users in the Windows community to choose the price.

Customers who want to express their opinion are asked to head over to a feedback form online and choose from several price ranges between "below $250" and "$450 or more." Coship hasn't said whether users' vote would be decisive in the final pricing of the phone, but it's very clear that every single opinion matters.

Phone specifications

The PCPhone W6 was designed from the very beginning to be a premium device, so just as its name suggests, it's specifically built to work with Continuum. It can thus double as a PC and offer the same productivity features as a high-end Lumia, such as the 950 and 950 XL.

The phone comes with a 6.0-inch LCD display with Full HD resolution, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 CPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. MicroSD card support is also offered should you need additional storage.

Furthermore, the device features a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing unit for selfies and video calls. Dual SIM support, a 3,900 mAh battery, and NFC are also available.

The new device will go on sale in just a number of Asian markets at first, but Coship plans to make it widely available before the end of the year. China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Taiwan are some of the countries that are getting it for sure, but more will follow after that.
